Our democracy : a non negotiable bill !

Because 40 years later, the gains  of the Women Liberation Movement is called into question.
Because in the 21th century, emancipation is not a value of progress anymore.
Because the women rights are challenged by fallacious and dangerous compromises.

Today we can’t keep silent anymore without being accused of complicity.

Under the fundamentalists pressure, our mixity is attacked as far as the public and political sphere.

In the behalf of the right of difference, we’re hindering everyday more and more our freedom. The promotion of communitarism is scary. Using the cry « this is my choice », all the violences towards women, such as polygamy, excision, forced marriages, veil banalizing…are legitimized at the expense of human dignity, the principals of equality and secularity, safeguards of our freedoms.
What choice do I still have when my body doesn’t belong to me anymore ? Accessing to contraception and abortion remains an utopia for thousands and thousands of young women.
Our elected representatives have been even further ; from now on they tolerate the burka, which is the instrument of opression and symbol of women defeat.

And yet, our democracy is a non negotiable bill.
We reaffirm that secularity is an inescapable value, a principal of hope : without secularity , there isn’t equality ; and without equality, zero mixity.
« Violences to women » were declared High National Cause. It’s time now to end the unacceptable excesses and the wait-and-see policy from the political parties. It’s time now to deploy clear- cut positions. We’ve got to stop the compromises.

Again, we reaffirm the urgency of a brave feminism to defend, worldwide, the women rights, sex equality, and to fight against discriminations and violence, by any means whatsoever.
